What time is worship? 9:30 am every Sunday.
How long is the worship service? Worship lasts approximately one hour. Lots of people that come to our worship service like to stay after for a bit and visit with old and new friends over a cup of coffee or tea in the fellowship hall.
Do you have support for those with disabilities? Yes, we have hearing enhancement headsets; large print bulletins, hymnals and Bibles; elevator; worship center is at street level; footrests; and braille bulletins are available if ordered by Thursday before worship.
Is there Sunday School? Yes, adult classes (for teens and adults) start at 8:00 am and 8:15 a.m. in the east wing. There are children's classes in the lower level of the south wing at 9:30 a.m. for ages 3 - 13.
Is there childcare? Yes, there is a nursery throughout the morning for babies and toddlers in room 110 in the east wing.
What should I wear? At CUMC you will see a mix of styles. Some wear their "Sunday best" and others are more casual in slacks or jeans. We want you to be comfortable as we worship God together.
Where do I park? There is plenty of parking in each of the lots located on the east and west side of the church. We also have a bike rack for the cyclists in our community. Others choose to walk as we are conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood.
Do I have to be a Methodist to attend? Not at all. Many in our congregation come from different backgrounds.
What is a typical service like? We worship in a traditional style with music, prayers, scripture, and preaching. We sing old and new hymns and have classical organ music. We also have an adult choir as well as a handbell choir. Worship is just the bginning of the CUMC worship experience. It equips us for mission and service in our community, our region, and our world.
Can a visitor take communion? Our communion table is open to everyone who believes in the love of Christ to change our lives.
Am I expected to give when the offering plate is passed? As a visitor, you are not expected or obligated to give an offering unless you feel led to do so.
How do I join or do I have to become a member to worship? Visitors are encouraged to attend our worship service and activities to get to know each other. When you are ready to make a commitment, please talk with Rev. Nancy.
